Horticultural knowledge is the life force of Weston Farms magnolia, and using magnolia in decor typifies our artistic expression.

In nature, the dark brown backs of magnolia leaves are found only at the tip top of the tree – sometimes 40 feet above the ground. Through magic mulching, excellent cultivar selection, and loving pruning, we encourage our magnolia to produce dark chocolate, velvet-coated new shoots, each with a contrasting lustrous dark green finish. The leaves themselves are prized objects—do not wilt as wild collected magnolia might, and if cared for properly, hold their artistic integrity for years.

Weston Farms works with magnolia hybridizers to trial new cultivars elsewhere unavailable. Working with local and national arboreta we find the most unusual and interesting plant expressions and cultivate them for our decorative wreaths, garlands, and natural accessories.

Classic Parris Southern Magnolia 3’ Garland/Swag

Handmade using an abundance of fresh cut small leaf Southern Magnolia, this versitle garland (measuring approximately 3 feet in length) is constucted and mounted on a heavy duty wire frame. It can be used as a table runner, on railings of stairs, over and around door frames, and on the mantel. When used in overlapping segments, the pieces look like a seamless piece of garland. Because the garland shows the hardware on the last rung, at Weston Farms we suggest concealing the hardware with the Southern Magnolia Accent Bouquet, or NC’s Best Longleaf Pine Cones (both sold separately.) If preferred, you can use a bow or decor of your own selection.

The Classic Parris Southern Magnolia mantel, hand crafted using abundant fresh cut small leaf Southern Magnolia, is created with two 3’ foot pieces of Classic Parris Southern Magnolia Garland mounted on heavy duty wire frame with a small Southern Magnolia bouquet. Placed in the center, the Bouquet creates a grand focal point and hides the conjoining hardware. The mantel measures approximately 7 feet long.

Handcrafted from small leaf Southern Magnolia, Dried Okra, Poppy Seed Heads, and Plantain, this wreath is punctuated with a group of long leaf pine cones and poppy heads. Pheasant feathers sweeping in downward flush add stunning elegance.
