“Art in Bloom,” is a vibrant annual festival at the North Carolina Museum of Art that brings together artists, floral designers, and the community to honor creativity and the beauty of nature through art and flowers. Our sculpture, created featuring Weston Farms Magnolia, was unveiled as part of this special event.

This piece uses Magnolia to echo the circular form of Thomas Sayre’s ‘Gyre,’ serving as a botanical tribute to the interplay of nature, art, and the enduring appeal of handcrafted forms. Presented during Art in Bloom, the sculpture embodies the spirit of the festival—a joyful celebration of artistic collaboration, natural materials, and the transformative power of floral art.
