The Noel Weston Legacy Garden was established in January of 2019 to honor and preserve gardens started by former horticulturist of the City of Raleigh in Garner, NC. Innovative educator Sarah Dinger, leader of the agriculture department of Garner High School headed the initiative to have students come to the garden to experience hands on in this learning laboratory. Noel Weston Legacy Garden is a place for students from GHS to cultivate ornamental plants that thrive in a beautiful landscape including a shade garden, a sun garden & a small Muscadine Vineyard. Working with Sarah Dinger and administrator Tori Jones the program champions a curriculum that emphasizes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) while creating a meaningful experience for the students.
