Sailing out of Summer

Summer boat dock with a basket of flowers and a tote bag on a wooden pier.

As summer comes to an end and we head into a new season, it feels important to celebrate all the fun we have had and look forward to the first touches of fall.

For us, summer included a day on the water with a wreath on the bow and magnolia packed into the picnic basket, because apparently we do not go anywhere without it.

Now, as sailing season begins again and fall gets a little closer, magnolia feels exactly right. The glossy green leaves still look like summer, while the warm brown backs give us just enough fall.

We are not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, but we are very happy to welcome what comes next.
